Description

Pale yellow color with green iridescence. On the nose, there are a wonderful array of herbaceous aromas, apple and white peach. The palate is a lovely balance of fruitiness and bright herbs, fennel and a light salty element. A medium bodied wine with a delightful character.

Delivery Information

Destemming and extraction of the grape juice by pneumatic pressing. Controlled fermentation at 18-20º C with indigenous yeasts. Slow kinetics with good preservation of aromas and a finish with a small amount of residual sugar. Stay with lees until bottling. Assembling the tanks of different vineyard plots. Stainless Steel tanks.

Andoni, Egoitz, Itziar and Julen are the winery owners. Doniene Gorrondona Txakolina is the evolution from the traditional farm to a modern winery. In a time of complete abandonment of the vineyards in Bakio and without a family tradition, they got fully involved in the recovery of the local wine. Nowdays, Doniene Gorrondona Txakolina has 15 hectares (ha) of vineyard, owned and leased, in production. Its vineyards are located on the midday-oriented slopes in Bakio. They grow on estates with a variety of soils thar are within 0 and 250 metres above sea level.
