Store Manager

 

Due to an internal restructure and promotion, we are now looking for a Store Manager.

We are looking for highly motivated and experienced management candidates with demonstrable leadership skills and a passion for wine. You will be responsible for running all aspects of a hybrid retail wine business including retail sales, drink in hospitality service, tasting events, private client sales, range management and local marketing efforts.

We are looking for:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong ability to build rapport with customers and advise on wine, spirits and specialist beer purchases at all levels.
  • A sales instinct and commercial awareness to help grow retail sales and private client fine wine opportunities.
  • A high level of integrity, reliability and trustworthiness together with a positive, driven and self-motivating attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills and an attention to detail as well as being energetic and physically fit.
  • A good degree of common sense, as well as the ability to problem solve and be flexible where required.
  • Experience of organising, hosting and marketing tasting events.
  • A smart, professional image and attitude coupled with a warm, friendly manner and a sense of humour.

You should also have:

  • A demonstrable passion for and good knowledge of wine, spirits & craft beer (minimum WSET Level 3 or similar experience)
  • Excellent numeracy, with good excel and written communication skills.
  • Good IT and technology skills
  • A willingness to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis.
  • Hospitality experience would be beneficial for our drink-in offering.
  • We have a strong business model and systems and are looking for individuals who can help grow our stores within that framework and enhance it with the enthusiasm, professionalism and drive which they will bring.

Website Coordinator

 

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated person to join our website team based full-time and on-site at our Richmond Hill store.

Ideally this would suit someone in a junior position who is looking to progress to greater levels of responsibility. You will have a chance to be involved in many aspects of a dynamic online wine world.

Ideal candidate requirements

  • Knowledge of e-commerce, website content and technologies including content creation, order fulfilment and stock management.
  • Customer service experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of Shopify and Google Analytics.
  • Problem solving and organisation skills.
  • Great IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A “can do” attitude, self-starter, able to work on their own and as part of a team.
  • An interest in wine would be a plus.

Role summary

  • Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and supporting and working closely with the Marketing Manager on planning website products and content.
  • Be responsible for existing products, online inventory and catalogues as well as new products and content creation.
  • Handle customer communications and enquiries via email and telephone as well as after sales care.
  • Online order fulfilment through to despatch.
  • Oversee couriers’ communications and relationship
  • Stock management including internal stock movements from shop locations & reconciliation.
  • Light administration and accounting functions to provide monthly data to bookkeeper
  • Troubleshooting technical issues on the website.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the company.

Soft skills requirements

  • A “can do” attitude, self-starter, able to work on their own and have oversight of all day-to-day website order management, fulfilment and administration.
  • Strong organisational skills and an attention to detail as well as being energetic.
  • Excellent numeracy, with strong IT as well as written communication skills with a customer focused mindset.
  • A good degree of common sense as well as the ability to problem solve and be flexible where required.
  • Ability to work and communicate as part of a wider team.

Remuneration and benefits package

  • Salary: Based on experience for 45 hrs per week, Tue-Sat 9am-6pm (incl. 1hr break).
  • Annual Leave: 20 days per year plus statutory holiday (8 days)
  • Pension: A Statutory pension scheme is in place via NEST with employer contributions of 3%.

HR Manager

 

We are seeking a qualified HR Professional with a minimum five years experience in SME’s, to support our staff and management team and ensure in our growing company has an outstanding culture and staff support systems.

Requirements

  • Full responsibility & ownership for main HR matters across the company and assess, review, and recommend based on your experience.
  • Excellent communicator, people person and problem solver.
  • Well organised with an eye for detail and an on-going understanding of current HR practice and legal requirements regarding employment law and related topics.
  • Strong general IT skills and awareness of MS Teams and HR Software packages for SME’s.
  • Identify weaknesses and risks and take action to resolve with senior managers. Looking out across wider company to protect the business and its employees from risks associated with HR internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director and Operations Manager.
  • Conduct quarterly welfare chats with all staff members.
  • Oversee Staff annual and probation reviews.
  • Manage development plans based on aspirations in annual reviews and monitor progress.
  • Contracts and staff & company policies: Responsible for all staff, company, health and safety policies, ensuring the company is compliant with current legislation and good practice.
  • Includes review of existing policies & guidance documentation.
  • Company newsletter updates on any HR matters and new employees with “interesting facts”.
  • Holiday management/recording in conjunction with Ops Manager.

Working Hours

Flexible One day a week – 4-8hrs per week based on seasonal requirements of the business.

Hourly pay based on experience.
