Description

This Chardonnay is perfect for summer. The nose has hints of fresh stone fruits, peach and apricot. The palate is bright, crisp, laden with green apple, crisp citrus and thoroughly refreshing.

The reserve’Chardonnay is quite light with a gentle lick of oak. 6-8 months. Quite like a Macon, but with a bit more volume on the palate. For us reminiscent of a Limoux Chardonnay.

Help support the defence of Ukraine by drinking their wine Vitalii, the winemaker at Bolgrad, comments half the country is earning and paying taxes to fund the defence of the country and the other half is fighting the war. There is a longer wine culture in Ukraine than most people realise. Bolgrad is situated in southern Ukraine, in the Odessa region, near the Black Sea. The sub-tropical climate is tempered by the biggest lake in eastern Europe, Lake Yalpuh, which has a cooling effect & reflects the sunshine. It is open & windy here so chemical intervention is not needed.
