Orofino, Beleza Meritage, 2019

The grapes were hand harvested and then gently destemmed and lightly crushed into one ton open top fermenters where they
were hand punched 2 times per day until completion of fermentation. The wine was then pressed straight to new, and older
French barriques. Each varietal lot was kept separate and then aged carefully for 20 months before blending, racking and bottling(unfiltered). Only the best barrels were included in the final blend. No fining was used. Minimal intervention is the key to thedevelopment of this wine. It is a true reflection of the terroir.

John and Virginia Weber both grew up in Southern Saskatchewan. Virginia worked as a nurse and John taught High School. Life settled and things were good until they met the Similkameen Valley in 2001. The desire to try something new, their love of wine and the beauty of the Similkameen convinced them to purchase a vineyard and move from Saskatchewan to Cawston. They quickly fell in love with the area and its burgeoning wine industry. Virginia and John have two sons Jack and Nate. They share their house with a ridiculously adorable Havanese dog named Poppy and an enigmatic cat named Rosie, who all look forward to welcoming you to Orofino!

We also offer the option to collect from any of our shops at no extra cost. All Mainland UK orders should be delivered within 1-3 working days.
