In collaboration with the team at The Silver Birch Chiswick, we have chosen the following wines to match with the corresponding courses, and hope they elevate your experience of the Restaurant’s incredible menu.

Devon Crab Crumpet:
Ferdinand Wines, Albarino Lodi 37.5cl Can 2018
Don't be fooled by the canned format, this is a serious wine from a serious winemaker! Evan Frazier, is the assistant winemaker at Kongsgaard by day, making some of the most sought after wines in California. This, his side project in Lodi allows him to approach winemaking with some more freedom, focusing on varietally driven styles. This albarino showcases round citrus and a saline finish.
Chicory, Feta:
Cantina Terlano, Terlaner Cuvee 2018 - Half Bottle
A composition of Terlano's three most traditional white varieties, namely Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Sauvignon. Pinot Bianco, as the main variety used in the cuvée, provides the freshness and a good acid structure, while Chardonnay delivers a pleasing texture and Sauvignon adds the fine aromatic character.
Buttered Lemon Sole:
Domaine Bzikot Pere et Fils, Puligny-Montrachet 2018 - Half Bottle
If upon seeing the name "Bzikot" you thought it didn't sound very French, then you'd be right. Sylvain's grandfather arrived in the village of Puligny from Poland just before the start of the war with nothing but the clothes he stood up in. Over the generations the family has acquired four hectares of vineyards within the celebrated Puligny-Montrachet and Puligny 1er Cru appellations. Creamy, rich, buttery nose, also creamy on the palate with flavours of vanilla, but also with a good mineral spine. This is a real treat!
Yorkshire Rhubarb Crumble:
Domaine des Bernardins, Muscat Beaumes de Venise 2019 - Half Bottle
This has always been a favoured Muscat due to its exotic richness of fruit that sums up this lovely part of the Rhône. The faint pink hue, from skin pigmentation of sun-gorged grapes is an unexpected surprise.
