Description

Curious about what we are currently drinking? With this mixed case you get a chance to taste some of the teams favourite wines and discover the great bottles they are most excited about.

This case contains one bottle of each of the wines listed below.

A very limestoney, minerally Marsannay. This offers a lively, clear stony character encircled by gentle yellow plums fruit. Attractive and engaging fruit with genuine terroir character to boot. A selection of parcels from the higher slopes of Marsannay where the soils are poor and extremely stony. A blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Blanc age in a mixture of tank and oak foudres.

Fresh quince and lime announced on the nose take on a delightful sorbet like character on the palate, at once caressingly creamy and brightly juicy. Bittersweet nut extracts and lightly smouldering, ore like smokiness harken to the character of this year's Hermannshohle Grosses Gewachs. The resonant, subtly spicy and mouth-wateringly salt tinged finish opens up a shimmering vista of crystalline stone.

First produced in 2015 in honour of his wife, this wine is 52% Chenin Blanc, 40% Verdelho, 5% Grenache Blanc and 3% Grenache Gris and aged for 10 months in old French barrels and amphorae. Appealing nose of pear, peach, citrus with notes of dried herbs, and an elegant palate with a long and moreish finish.

The nose opens with strawberry, violet and white pepper followed by a harmonious palate of juicy, concentrated and elegant fruit. A worthy partner to a fine piece of fillet steak.

An expressive and elegant red blend with intense in ripe and jammy red fruits and hints of spicy and toasted notes. Very soft and delicate tannins with a velvety finish. Try it with duck, roasted vegetables, pork belly, or intense cow milk cheeses.

A complex nose of dark cherry and blackberry aromas with a hint of forest floor and spice. Vibrant dark cherry and blackberry with a hint of ‘wombat rolled in all spice’ balanced with an even, textural palate with soft, supple tannins.
