Tococo is a 100% Syrah from a single plot, whose vineyards were planted in 2009 at an altitude of 1,788 meters. The Tococo is a characteristic bird of the valley, which curiously prefers to walk than fly, moving through the vineyards at full speed. The wine is stored for 20 months in wooden foudres, before being bottled. The first vintage of TOCOCO on the market was 2015.
Viñedos de Alcohuaz is located in the Andes Mountains, on the 30th parallel of south latitude, with altitudes ranging between 1,650 meters and 2,206 meters. Alcohuaz wines are high altitude wines, with the unmistakable effect of the triangulation of three fundamental factors: the sun, the granite soils and the altitude. These three factors result in grapes with unusually thick skins, which is why in Alcohuaz we carry out the initial pressing of the grapes the old-fashioned way, with the feet. This technique is essential in our winemaking process, since it allows us to obtain the tannic balance that only the delicacy of human sensitivity is capable of delivering.
