Sokol Blosser Oregon Mixed Case
Throughout the month of November we are putting the spotlight on Oregon with its vineyards, the people behind the labels and of course their amazing wines. One of those great winemakers that deserve special attention are the team behind Sokol Blosser. When Susan Sokol and Bill Blosser planted their first vines in the Dundee Hills AVA (American Viticultural Area) of the Willamette Valley 1971, they needed all of their youthful self-confidence, energy and determination to make their way because, at the time, there was no wine industry in Oregon. Today, with over 900 wineries and more than 37,000 acres of planted vineyards, Oregon has grown exponentially and its wines are available throughout the world. Sokol Blosser has survived, grown and prospered as a family-owned and run operation, and are proud to have been part of developing and shaping Oregon’s now prominent wine industry.
This case contains one bottle of each of the wines listed below.
- Sokol Blosser, Evolution Lucky No.9 White 2020
Sokol Blosser Evolution Lucky No. 9 White is a delightful blend of nine grape varietals. Each year, the winemakers select the best grapes from their vineyards in Oregon and Washington, resulting in a unique and complex wine that is both refreshing and satisfying.
Aromatic wine with heaps of citrus notes like lychee and lime zest, hints of tropical fruit and just a touch melon. Bright acidity lingers on the finish to balance with residual sugar.
- Sokol Blosser, Evolution Red 9th Edition NV
Evolution Red Sokol Blosser, not so secret blend- some Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel make up this super tasty bottle! A nose dominated with cherry and raspberry aromas. A medium bodied palate notes of ripe raspberries, a hint of cinnamon, and has a finish that is long and juicy.
- Sokol Blosser, Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2019
This Dundee Hills Pinot Noir epitomizes everything Sokol Blosser has stood for in 50 years of winegrowing in Oregon. Crafted to be a true expression of terroir from our hillside vines and Jory soil, this wine is made from a low yield crop that is dry-farmed & aged in French oak for 17 months.
The nose is rich with mushroom, truffle, and forest floor, accompanied by black cherry, cranberry, and clove. The palate reflects the cranberry, black cherry and truffle, but also introduces a dash of black pepper with medium tannins and acidity on the finish
