Markus Lentsch and his family are growers based in Podersdorf on the eastern part of Neusiedlersee. The 17ha estate focuses on Burgundian varieties like Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay but also the classics like Gruner Veltliner, Zweigelt & St Laurent. The family has been making wine for over 30 years and is now run by the 3rd Generation- Markus Lentsch. The mild climate of the Seewinkel, on the eastern shore of the Neusiedlersee, allows grapes of excellent quality to be vinified, which with great experience and the gentlest processing methods are vinified into wines of the highest quality. 

This Sankt Laurent is the Austrian answer to Pinot Noir! Delicate plum and cedar notes, some black berry confit with a touch of floral aromas and nougat. Juicy, elegant with velvety tannins, fine exotic wood spices, blackberry nuances in the finish combined with hints of vanilla with a long and refined finish. This wine is in a beautiful drinking window right now.
