Discover Domaine Les Hautes Noëlles – one of our brand-new additions, through this producer-focused mixed case with four of their cuvées.

Based in Muscadet, they farm organically and focus on the terroirs and what it brings to their wines. We selected cuvées that show the potential of the region – from the more classic Muscadet to a more opulent and complex style to a natural and quirky version.


  • LES CÔTEAUX, AOC MUSCADET CÔTES DE GRANDLIEU SUR LIE 2018 – 12% ABV

From 40-year-old vines, spontaneous fermentation and full malolactic fermentation, bringing complexity and richness to the wine. Aged for 4-5 months on lees. 4,500 bottles produced.

On the classic style of Muscadet but almost Chablis-esque with lovely white peach aromas with a rich core of densely packed fruit. Rich nose balanced by a crisp freshness and mineral notes on the palate.

 

  • LES MOINERIES VIEILLES VIGNES, AOC MUSCADET CÔTES DE GRANDLIEU 2018 – 12.5% ABV

From 90-year-old vines, the grapes undergo a short maceration before pressing. Spontaneous fermentation followed by ageing on lees for 18 months in underground stainless-steel vats. 4,000 bottles produced.

Yellow and tropical fruits dominate with hints of honey, almond and nougat. The palate is rich with an earthy complexity, complemented by a refreshing quince acidity on the finish. Atypical but fascinating and mouth-watering.

 

  • LES HAUTES NOËLLES VIEILLES VIGNES, AOC MUSCADET 2018 – 13% ABV

Only available through this mixed case

From 100-year-old vines, the grapes go under short maceration before pressing. Fermentation and ageing on the lees in oak barrels – 25% new, for 12 months. Only 2,000 bottles produced.

Opulent and creamy displaying lifted aromas of apple, vanilla with a touch of nuttiness and tropical fruits. Delicious and not your classic Muscadet with a nice ageing potential.


  • L’INTRÉPIDE CUVÉE NATURE VIEILLES VIGNES, AOC MUSCADET 2019 Natural wine – 12.5% ABV

From 100-year-old vines, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and is then aged on lees in old oak barrels for 6-7 months. Unfined, unfiltered, no sulphites added. Only 1,400 bottles produced.

Intense baked fruit aromas with notes of grilled almond. Crisp, mineral finish with a caramelised touch to it. Some autolytic and oxidative characters – reminiscent of Champagne but without the fizz.
