The nose is wonderfully aromatic and quite powerful, It reveals notes of rich black currant jam and a touch of opulent cassis. The palate is fruity and silky yet graceful and offers a racy minerality.  In mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, plum and black cherry and a dash of liquorice and soft tobacco,

Martine Cazeneuve bought Château Paloumey in 1989. She extended, renovated and replanted the domaine, which now has 35 hectares of Haut-Médoc appellation vines. In 1993, she also bought Château La Garricq, a vineyard with three hectares of Moulis appellation. La Garricq is a typical Moulis appellation wine: powerful but elegant.
