Bree Stock's MW Oregon Mixed Case

£253.50

Description

This is the Bree Stock MW Oregon Mixed Case including all the wines featured in her Masterclass from November 2nd at our Autumn Tasting. It provides a snapshot of Oregon and features some of its most iconic winemaking estates.

This case contains one bottle of each of the wines listed below.

  • Ovum, Off The Grid Riesling 2021

Off the Grid Riesling is a quintessential Ovum wine.  Intensely aromatic with luscious texture one might expect from a red wine.  The first thing you'll notice is the deep yellow colour in the glass, this comes from aging white wine in Acacia wood barrels. Aromatics - ripe apricot, Eureka lemon, thyme.  This wine has an unusual aroma that we can only compare to what it smells like when you walk into charcuterie shop...in a good way!

Richly textured, 2021 Off the Grid is a mouthful of wine.  The acidity provides scaffolding and structure, and the 9gL of residual sugar is barely noticeable but lays the foundation for long aging.  Only 350 cases produced

  • Walter Scott, La Combe Verte Chardonnay 2021

An illuminating style of Chardonnay, showcasing density and precision. The palate spotlights evolving layers of textures which follow the classic aromatic notes of lemon zest, honeycrisp apple and white flowers, with the finish offering a subtle mineral and saline character.

  • Kelley Fox, Durant Chardonnay 2021

Pale, lemon-apricot, brilliant, and transparent. The nose begins with powdery minerals, and lovely, delicate and fine notes of citrus and vanilla bean pods (no new oak-this is from the fruit!). The mouth is smooth and silky, and has racy acidity. The Durant is presently full of tension and high octave energy and could benefit from more time in the bottle. Drink this in a few months or in a few years. The choice is yours.

  • Sokol Blosser, Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2019

The nose is rich with mushroom, truffle, and forest floor, accompanied by black cherry, cranberry, and clove. The palate reflects the cranberry, black cherry and truffle, but also introduces a dash of black pepper with medium tannins and acidity on the finish.

  • Evening Land, Seven Springs Estate Pinot Noir 2021

Of all our bottlings, the Seven Springs Pinot Noir tells the story of our vineyard. Built around a core of own-rooted, Pommard and Wadenswil vines planted in 1984, this bottling is a hearkens back Oregon's winegrowing infancy, when savoriness, smokiness, and nuance brought curious and adventurous Burgundy lovers to our region in droves. The aromatics of our 2016 Seven Springs Pinot Noir are bright and botanical, yet dignified. The wine is concentrated on the palate, with rich fruit buttressed by lively acidity and distinguished tannins.

  • Beckham, Amphora Pinot Noir Creta 2018

Pale crimson. Fresh, juicy red fruits and just a hint of stone dust. The unexpected character of this wine is its creamy texture. Smooth, juicy and with a sweet/sour finish. Long, juicy and almost tart in its freshness but rounded out by the creamy texture
