Mundo Reves, Asa Nisi Mesa Malbec 2022
This is a wine with intense notes of violets, alongside a generous amount of ripe red fruits. The tannins are very reactive, firm in their task of sustaining the weight of the fruit.
Lone Palm Vineyards, Hillside Shiraz 2023
A deep, inky Shiraz with aromas of black fruits and a hint of iron richness that's typical of the Barossa. The palate is sweetly spiced like a berry compôte and has plenty of generous cassis fruit and a little leather. The tannins are soft and rounded making it very drinkable now. Enjoy with a juicy steak or a veggie chilli. It's also great with some firm, mature cheese.
Leza Garcia, Rioja Reserva 2020
Savoury notes, black fruits, blackcurrant leaf and cherries define the nose and the palate of this Reserva. It is rounded and soft, with plenty of freshness – a signature of Leza Garcia's wines. Well-integrated oak doesn't stand in the way of shiny, bright fruit. Its long, warm finish with spice and a hint of earthiness give us a lovely autumny, wintery feel. A gastronomic wine.
Les Vins de Vienne, Cotes du Rhone Rouge Les Cranilles 2023
From Estezargues, Tulette and Rochegude in the southern Rhône, this blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan bursts with juicy red and black fruits. Aged in concrete vats to keep things fresh and vibrant, it's the perfect bottle for sharing with friends over charcuterie or roast chicken.
A full bodied red wine with strong aromas of black fruit, notes of cassis, cherries and earth. The palate bold, with high acidity and firm tannins, well structured yet elegant on the palate and a silky, textured finish.
Val Delle Rose, Poggio Al Leone Riserva Morellino di Scansano 2021
Poggio al Leone presents a deep, intense ruby red colour with richness and depth. On the nose, it reveals a complex and expressive bouquet. Ripe red cherries, wild berries, and sun-drenched plums are layered with nuances of dried herbs, violet, and a touch of sweet tobacco. Subtle notes of vanilla, spice, and toasted oak emerge from its time in barrique, adding depth without overwhelming the fruit.
