Description

A full bodied red wine with strong aromas of black fruit, notes of cassis, cherries and earth. The palate bold, with high acidity and firm tannins, well structured yet elegant on the palate and a silky, textured finish.

Hand harvested grapes and destemming followed by traditional vinification of the wine and fermented in oak barrels for 12 months.

Château Hourbadon has existed since 1893 and extends over 12 hectares. It was taken over in 1974 by Rémi Delayat with the desire to offer a quality terroir. This respect for the terroir and quality was taken over in 1997 by their son Hugues, who changed his father's agricultural land by first offering a reasoned cultivation before converting to organic farming and a manual harvest
