The Bodegas Ximénez Spínola Old Harvest Solera 1964 is a captivating divergence from conventional, syrupy-sweet PX wines, presenting instead a sophisticated and complex medium-dry expression of the Pedro Ximénez grape. Pours a luminous, dark amber hue, occasionally showcasing brilliant golden reflections that catch the light, a testament to its decades of oxidative aging.

This is a non-vintage wine crafted using a continuous fractional blending system established in 1964. The wine is primarily aged in a solera that began that year, which is a blend of dry, oxidatively aged Pedro Ximénez wines.

To achieve its distinctive medium-dry profile, the winery introduces a small proportion (around 10%) of intensely sweet, very old wine sourced from a separate solera dating back to 1918. This blend perfectly balances the dry, nutty complexity with a touch of natural, luscious sweetness.
