The Viennese appellation of origin is dedicated to Gemischter Satz, a field blend harvested and fermented together. No less than six grape varieties give complexity to this beautiful dry wine. Intense fresh peach and apricot aromas with a touch of pineapple. Well balanced by a crisp acidity and good minerality making for a really bright, zippy and enjoyable wine.

Delivery Information
Grapes for a Gemischter Satz or field blend are typically interplanted, that is, they come from the same vineyard(s). In this case, the grapes come from three famous winemaking villages that over time have been absorbed by the Viennese agglomeration: Nussdorf, Maurer and Oberlaa. The grapes are harvested and fermented together in stainless steel.
Alex & Hillary Zahelare the 4th generation winemaker of Zahel, having been passed the torch by Alex’s uncle Richard. Since taking the lead, they proudly continues the tradition of ushering Vienna’s most charming wines from the vineyard into the bottle. The family also runs a Heurigen, a wine tavern serving local food and wine. The vineyards can be found just on the outskirts of Vienna and literally calling for wine lovers to visit.
