Description

A beautiful Champagne from Frederic Savart who only produces tiny amounts each year. On the nose red fruits; cranberry and soft vanilla custard. The palate has a roundness with a beautiful twist of minerality and tightly woven fruit and brioche on the finish.

A blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 50% Pinot Meunier from the vintages of 2015 and 2016.

Disgorged in July 2021 with 1gr/l of dosage. 4.000 bottles made.

Frederic Savart is a fiercely individual Champagne maker making beautifully expressive, vivid and crystalline champagnes of great depth and power. Their balance of vibrancy and flavour is utterly compelling and their scarcity is testament to their already high global demand. Savart returned to his family Domaine in the village of ecueil around 25 years ago, after toying with a career as a professional footballer. Savart's grandfather had planted his first vines in 1947 and later passed his tiny property to Savart's father. Frederic worked alongside him whilst purchasing more holdings, until taking over completely in 2005.
