Description

Bryan Martin’s flagship wine is consistently superb. Using skills honed at Clonakilla, he has created a cracking Shiraz Viognier. A core of ripe fruit and spices, with layers of savouriness. It’s joyously medium bodied with textural tannins and lots of detail throughout.

Delivery Information

After a natural ferment, including 30% whole-bunch, that was left on-skins for 6 weeks, the wine was pressed to puncheons and left for one year then the next year, matured in untoasted Stockinger foudre . No additions or encouragement. Unfined and unfiltered.

Ravensworth began its journey in 2001 under the pretext that ‘It seemed like a good idea at the time’ a family affair these days with life-shackled-partners Bryan and Jocelyn Martin teaming up with the brother David Martin. In 2020 they completed the winery and cellar. A large investment in state-of-the-art processing equipment that can deal with all the many varieties grown and purchased each year. All based around small batch production.
