Description

The 2020 Pursued by Bear Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep, darkly colored wine offering generous notes of wild blackberry, cocoa powder, and warm vanilla spice. Undertones of black plums and ripe, dark cherries build layered complexity on the palate with the wine’s fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity creating a generous and richly textured mouthfeel that gives way to a long, expressive finish.

From a vintage that will be remembered for producing beautiful wines displaying outstanding aromatics, concentrated flavors and fresh vibrancy, this classic Washington Cab shows an ideal mix of lush, pure New World fruit and Old World structure.

Grapes sourced from Dubrul, Dionysus, Heather Hill, Les Collines, Weinbau, Sagemoor vineyards sites. Aged for 22 months, all new Taransaud French oak.

Do you remember Twin Peaks? Kyle MacLachlan Actor and Owner and Vintner of Persued by Bear. His interest in wine began in the mid 1980s. After moving to LA to pursue his acting career, he frequently returned to Yakima to visit his father and explore the burgeoning wine scene. Later, inspired by friends in Napa Valley, the notion of making his own wine took hold. A Washington wine would allow him to see family more often and the Washington Cabernet Sauvignons and Syrahs he tasted were spectacular—an alluring mix of Old World elegance and New World grandeur. Shortly after, a chance meeting with Walla Walla winemaker Eric Dunham led to a simple handshake that launched Pursued by Bear in 2005.
