Osmote, Chardonnay Seneca Lake 2019

Hand harvested on 9/30/19 and 10/4/19, sorted, and whole cluster pressed. Wine is un-inoculated and instead undergoes natural fermentation in 400L barrels, with some lees stirring. Aged on lees until first racking at 1 month before bottling. Bottled August 20, 2020. 315 cases produced

The Osmote family is Ben, Brittnie and Mia, plus all the friends and family who have helped us along the way. Ben Riccardi is both winemaker and business manager. Born in the Finger Lakes, he now lives on the southern end of Seneca Lake. His work experiences include notably Willams Selyem in California, Craggy Range in New Zealand, and City Winery New York in Manhattan. Osmote began in 2014 as a tenant winery within a bigger facility. In 2020, they took the plunge and moved to a facility in Ovid, NY.  A former trucking garage, the space has been converted to a fully functioning winery full of tanks, wine presses, and barrels. During bottling season, they drive in their own bottling trailer and bottle on site. 

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom with no minimum order requirement. For Mainland UK deliveries, the following charges apply:

• £15 for orders below £75
• £9.99 for orders below £125
• Free delivery on orders over £125

We also offer the option to collect from any of our shops at no extra cost. All Mainland UK orders should be delivered within 1-3 working days.
