One is greeted with an array of lovely fruit. Red plum, black cherry interlaced with a rich chocolate note. There is also a slight hint of bacon which adds a balancing savoury element. A sensible level of sweetness with lovely drying tannins and a perky acidity finish leaves you wanting more of this classy Recioto.

Only the best grapes of the best vintages are destined for this wine; the withering is extended to 150 days, then the grapes are gently pinched and fermented in open tonneau for about 2 months. A soft pressing is made and then the wine is placed in new tonneau where it matures for 2 years. After bottling, the wine refines in the bottle for a further year.
Musella is set within the beautiful, green hills of San Martino Buon Albergo, near Verona. Its vineyards cover three different hillside locations on south and west-facing slopes, which offer a remarkable differentiation of soil types: the Monte del Drago, Perlar and Palazzina hills. Maddalena Pasqua is the incredibly talented winemaker at the helm of the winery. Her love for nature and deep respect for the soil led her to become one of the most fervent ambassadors of biodynamics in Italy. The result is wines with incredible elegance and focus, brimming with life and tension.
