Description

On the nose, typical hints of white and yellow fruit emerge first, then fragrant hints of honeysuckle, vanilla flowers and rose petals develop. Intense and full-bodied on the palate, the creamy sip is balanced by great freshness and a pleasant bitter sensation on the finish.

Michele Satta is one of the founders of Bolgheri DOC over twenty years ago, alongside Tenuta San Guido, Ornellaia, and the Antinori family. However, despite their importance to the meteoric rise of the region, they have remained a boutique, terroir-driven producer that continues to push the boundaries of Italian fine wine. Unlike better-known names, Satta focuses on Mediterranean varieties – particularly Sangiovese and Syrah – alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Today, Michele’s
son Giacomo heads the Estate.
