For one special evening, join us at our Chiswick shop for a rare opportunity to meet the winemakers behind Ancre Hill Estates and discover the story, philosophy and craft behind their wines.

Based in Monmouth, South Wales, Ancre Hill has become one of the most distinctive names in British wine. Their approach is rooted in organic and biodynamic farming, with a deep belief in working with the land rather than against it. The vineyard, the soil, the seasons and the surrounding ecosystem all play an important role in the wines they create.

Throughout the evening, the winemakers will guide you through a carefully selected range of Ancre Hill wines, sharing the stories behind each bottle —from the vineyards and varieties to their approach in the winery and the small decisions that ultimately shape the wine in your glass.

We’ll explore their philosophy, what it means to farm and make wine in the Welsh climate, and their experience of being part of a rapidly evolving British wine scene. We’ll also look ahead: what does the future of Welsh winemaking look like, and where do they see Ancre Hill within it?

This is not a typical wine tasting. With just 10 guests seated around the table, the evening is designed to be relaxed, personal and genuinely interactive. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share your thoughts and talk directly with the people who make the wines.

Alongside the tasting, we’ll serve a selection of carefully chosen cheeses, thoughtfully paired to complement the wines and make the evening feel like a complete journey from vineyard to glass.
