At Mas Lou, Tio Faugeres 2016 they hand pick their grapes. The best wines are raised in oak barrels, a small part of which are new. Winemakers/Owners Adele Arnaud and Olivier Gil are considering to use amphoras and/or cement tanks as well.
Adele Arnaud and Olivier Gil are young winemakers in Fos, a town in the Faugeres appellation in the Languedoc in France. They own 8 hectares on the southern slopes of the Cevennes at an altitude of 200 to 300 meter. The vineyards are mostly planted to Syrah, but there is also some Carignan, Grenache Noir, Mourvedre and the old local variety Llodoner Pellut. Most vines are more than 30 years old.
