Description

Surprising ripeness of fruit is balanced beautifully with the earthy character of great Pinot Noir. A hint of kirsch, sweet and sour cherry, bramble fruits and barrel age. Soft, elegant tannins frame everything on the palate, and the acidity keeps the finish fresh and long.

Josten & Klein bring a premium Pinot Noir using hand harvested grapes from several of their Mayschoss vineyards in the Ahr Valley. Barrel ageing of this cool climate example brings a surprising richness of fruit.

Josten & Klein is a new winery that offers high-quality white and red wines from the two Rhineland-Palatinate wine-growing regions of Ahr and Mittelrhein. Our, viticulture technician Marc Josten and qualified oenologist Torsten Klein, founded Josten & Klein in 2011 after a good 25 years of experience together. They produce quality wines that are characterized by the typical grape varieties of the two regions, their locations and their respective vintage conditions; real, unadulterated wines, processed with care for quality and with a noticeably individual character. For everyone who likes to enjoy wine consciously.
