Description

Vinho Verde comes in many forms but this is one of the best, hence the title 'Grande Escolha', similar to the French 'Grand Cru' and meaning only the best manually picked grapes are used in the wine. Limpid and brilliant with citrus colour alongside fruity and mineral aromas. The minerality and fruit falls on to the wonderfully appealing and complex palate. An excellent profile that is also great value for money and a perfect match for that British favourite, fish and chips!

Vinho Verde region was established in 1908, though the area didn't receive its Denominação de Origem Controlada (DOC) until 1984. The wine is thought to have originated in the Minho province in the far north of Portugal.
