This Barbera has an alure of rich cassis, cherry, violet, and exotic spice, with savoury hints of leather, liquorice, and pepper. Silky and vibrant, the acidity is balanced and ripe, with just the right amount of grip from the tannins. The fruit and spice from the palate lingers, culminating in a long and juicy finish, with a touch of balsamic vinegar on the back end. Alluring and graceful, this wine will have you coming back for more.

Produced from 100% Barbera grown in vineyards around La Morra, Roddino and Sinio. Following destemming and crushing, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation for approximately seven days at controlled temperatures. The wine is then matured for six months in a combination of used oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, adding subtle complexity while retaining Barbera’s characteristic freshness and vibrant fruit.

The Boglietti family’s winemaking story began in 1991, when Enzo decided to leave dairy farming behind and concentrate on the vineyards inherited from his grandparents. Starting with fewer than three hectares, borrowed equipment and a converted stable, he gradually built one of La Morra’s most respected family-run wineries.

Today, Enzo works alongside his children, Linda and Matteo, farming approximately 22 hectares across some of Piemonte’s most celebrated vineyard sites, including Brunate, Fossati and Boiolo. The estate’s vineyards have been certified organic since the 2017 vintage, with all grapes harvested by hand.

Over the years, the family’s approach has evolved towards greater elegance and vineyard expression, with less reliance on new oak and heavy extraction. From fresh, vibrant everyday wines to beautifully structured, age-worthy Barolo, the Boglietti wines reflect both the character of their vineyards and the family’s dedication to quality.

We also offer the option to collect from any of our shops at no extra cost. All Mainland UK orders should be delivered within 2-4 working days.
