A beautifully composed and sophisticated expression of Sauvignon Blanc from one of Sancerre's most celebrated vineyards. Delicate aromas of white fruit, elderflower and lime oil lead into a wonderfully textured palate, where layers of ripe citrus subtle saline notes and distinctive minerality unfold. Rich in character yet remarkably precise, with vibrant freshness and a long, elegant finish.

A serious, age-worthy Sancerre that would be superb with scallops, roast chicken or creamy goat's cheese.

Monts Damnés is one of Sancerre's most prestigious vineyard sites, renowned for its steep slopes and Kimmeridgian limestone-rich marl soils. The grapes achieve excellent ripeness and are tradtionally among the last to be harvested. Careful vinification and extended maturation allow the wine to develop remarkable depth and texture while preserving its natural freshness and mineral character.

Around one third is matured in older 600 litre oak barrels, with the remainder in tank, allowing the distinctive terroir to take centre stage. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.

The Prieur family has been growing vines in Sancerre for eleven generations, with vineyards surrounding the celebrated village of Verdigny. Today, Luc Prieur contines the family's tradition, bringing a distinctly Burgundian philosophy shaped by his studies in Beaune. Individual vineyard parcels are vinified with minimal intervention, allowing each wine to express the character of its origins. Organically farmed vineyards, hand harvestings and meticulous attention to detail are central to the estate's approach, producing wines of exceptional purity, finesse an individuality.
