Description

Intense nose of red berry fruits and a light red iron minerality.  On the palate there is great structure, volume and minerality that talks volumes of the saline terroir. Soft tannic notes round out this lovely red.

Stony sandy-clay loam over micaschist, 10-20 year old vines. Manual harvest with sorting of the harvest. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. 15-18 months aging in an underground tank. Not filtered, not fined. 6,000 bottles made

A family property created in the 1930s, the Domaine is located about 15 kilometres south-west of Nantes, on the shores of the Lac de Grandlieu, the largest natural lake in France. The Atlantic Ocean is only 30 km away and often brings us its offshore breezes. Bought in 2010 by Jean-Pierre Guedon, it was followed by another milestone in 2020 when the estate was acquired by Juliane and Jean-Gabriel Tridon. Today, they lavish great care and attention on 26 hectares of vines that are worked entirely according to organic growing principles.
