Some reduction on the nose, but loads of meaty, peppery spice too – great breadth and interest here. Delicious perfume and vibrancy to the fruit, followed by the ideal acidic juiciness on the finish. Really accomplished.

The hallmark of their wines is the purity of their fruit, vinifications are gentle, destalking averages around 90% and oak is managed discretely.
Domaine Garon is in the hands of two young brothers, so often a recipe for success, and they already produce wines of exceptional quality. The Garons have just over 7ha of vines. Most of their vines are planted in the pale-coloured, schist soils of the Côte Blonde. Their top cuvée, Rochins is from a half a hectare plot of 30yo vines in the iron imbued, schist-dominant lieu-dit of the same name.
