Equal parts Grenache Noir, Carignan, Syrah & Mourvedre from 70 - 80 year old vines. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 8 months in very old foudre barrels before bottling. Black cherry and garrigue-y notes of wild thyme and rosemary, a silky tannic structure and great concentration.
Son of a winegrower, Jean-François DEU began working in the vineyard at a very young age before founding his own estate in 1975. Plowing his vines using the last Banyuls mules, he devoted the name of his estate to this traditional practice. : the “traginer” meaning muleteer in Catalan.
For more than 40 years now, Jean-François Deu has been giving the best of himself by working his vines and producing quality wines.
