Equal parts of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre, from the Traginer plots that ripen the latest (so generally picked in October). The longer hangtime means the grapes develop more complexity. Aged in old barriques from Bordeaux for 14 months.
Son of a winegrower, Jean-François DEU began working in the vineyard at a very young age before founding his own estate in 1975. Plowing his vines using the last Banyuls mules, he devoted the name of his estate to this traditional practice. : the “traginer” meaning muleteer in Catalan.
For more than 40 years now, Jean-François Deu has been giving the best of himself by working his vines and producing quality wines.
