Description

A wonderfully fresh, aromatic white with great depth showing notes of stone fruits, herbal spice and terroir-driven minerality and salinity, and a touch oxidative from maturation in large old oak casks.

Delivery Information

The vineyard is made up of narrow steep terraces made of schist soil that benefits from an exceptional climate and exposure. Nestled between the Pyrenees mountains and the sea, these wines are characterised by a moreish salinity. The 16 hectares of old vineyards on pure schist terroir have been biodynamically farmed since 1997, and the estate has Demeter certification.

Son of a winegrower, Jean-François DEU began working in the vineyard at a very young age before founding his own estate in 1975. Plowing his vines using the last Banyuls mules, he devoted the name of his estate to this traditional practice. : the “traginer” meaning muleteer in Catalan.

For more than 40 years now, Jean-François Deu has been giving the best of himself by working his vines and producing quality wines.
