The Comando G Peña La Mora is a profound expression of high-altitude Garnacha, characterized by immense finesse, purity, and a striking mineral core. The bouquet is highly perfumed, ethereal, and delicate. It opens with vibrant red fruit notes of wild strawberry, cherry, and elderberry, which meld beautifully with complex botanical and floral aromas of lilacs, violets, and sweet tobacco.
The palate is round, supple, and extremely refined with delicate citrus flavours balanced by a pronounced saline and savoury profile, often described by critics as "liquid rock" minerality. The texture is a standout feature: fine, chalky, and polished tannins provide elegant structure and remarkable persistence. The wine possesses great energy, a deep acidic line, and a long, pure finish. An intense yet elegant wine, praised for its tension, purity, and profound ability to age.
