Chateau Saint Maur, Cotes de Provence Rose, Cru Classe Saint-M 2022

Protected from the mistral to the north and the west by the Massif des Maures, the entire vineyard enjoys an east-west exposure. Sheltered from the winds but benefiting from a gentle maritime influence which tempers the strong summer heat, the vineyard extends over a hundred hectares. Mainly clay-limestone, it lines the curve of the hills, gradually rising to the edge of the forest, in the direction of Collobrieres. Here, the mica-schists soils dominate while to the south of Grimaud, on the edge of the Giscle, the small river which flows into the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the soils become sandy-silty. This variety of terroir is ideal for producing each varietal and fine tuning them to make the ideal blend.

Chateau Saint-Maur is based in the stunning Cotes de Provence appellation. Owned by has a brand new high-tech cellar. Located opposite the historic Chateau, this wine cellar blends in perfectly with the landscape and impresses with the perfection of its architecture. This new generation cellar is a major asset for strengthening the quality positioning of the wines. Operational since the 2013 vintage, the Chateau Saint-Maur cellar is now one of the most efficient in the Cotes de Provence appellation. In addition to its beauty which blends into the softness of the landscape, it is a small marvel of technology with a vinification capacity of 5,000 hectoliters.
