Gravel, sand and clay soils. The wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic conversion takes place in a combination of stainless steel vats and French oak barrels. Aged in 25% new French oak barrels for 12 months.
A member of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, Chateau Rahoul boasts an exceptionally diverse range of terroirs. The history of Chateau Rahoul began in 1646, when Chevalier Guillaume Rahoul was responsible for the construction of this pretty chartreuse, and gave it its name. The management of the Rahoul estate was entrusted to Dourthe in 2007. For Chateau Rahoul, sustainability is at the heart of its approach, and has adopted environmentally sensitive practices that respect Nature, the soils and humankind. Since 2018, Chateau Rahoul has benefited from Terra Vitis and High Environmental Value (HVE) environmental certifications.
