Description

A wonderful nose citrus mandarin, bees wax and notes of nuts. On the palate a ripeness at first then an intense, searing acidity and an orange fizz, mouth-watering, a hint of mineral, caramelised orange, finishing with a hint of sea spray.

Delivery Information

Fermentation is spontaneous and takes place in barrels. The wine is aged on fine lees for 15 months, in stainless steel vats.

Chateau Lafitte are nothing short of legends in the winemaking game with producers Philippe and Brigitte Arraou spending the past 30 years of their lives turning a 14th-century manor house into one of the meccas of natural wine production. Their son Antoine now takes the reigns at the vineyard with all 5 hectares organic and biodynamically farmed. The chateau dates from the 14 century and is in the west of the region, Antoinne has recently undertaken an ambitious renovation project, including a new winery so that all wines are gravity-fed.
