From vineyards on the banks of the River Garonne, this wine misses out on the Graves appellation by only 200 metres. Atlantic climate. Sand and gravel soils. 10-40m altitude.

For seven generations the vineyards have been run by the Labuzan family. Inheriting 18ha from their parents the two enterprising brothers, Thierry and Denis, have pursued the development of the winery while maintaining the family tradition and caring for their land. They now own several properties spread over 40ha in the Graves and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations close to the village of Portets. Here they make solid wines for everyday drinking, offering terrific value for money from vines averaging 40yo planted in deep sandy and gravelly soils, a terroir typical of the area.

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom and the European Union and all delivery charges for these destinations are enabled in the checkout. We also provide the option to collect from any of our shops.

All UK mainland orders should be delivered within 2-3 working days.

Luxuriously delicious

We are so enjoying this wine. We were given a bottle of red wine from the Ludlow Farmshop and were knocked sideways it was so good. After a search (because we don’t live in Ludlow) I hit upon Chateau du Barrailh, La Grave Singalier, Bordeaux Superieur 2020 and bought some. It’s either the same as the Ludlow one or very similar. Just lovely. I’m hooked!

Lovely soft deep wine with none of the dry bitterness sometimes associated with a Bordeaux superior. Really enjoying it.
