Description

A supple and fruity Merlot dominated wine from a favourite Saint Emilion satellite -Lussac Saint Emilion and from a nice, ripe year. Small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Malbec make up the blend which is aged mostly in older barrels for gentle oak influence.

The vineyard and the cellar were bought out in 2000 by Francois and Maria-Dolores Linard. Since then, with a small operational and versatile team, vines have been replanted, the cellar was renovated and the wines have been reworked. Situated at the point where 3 appellations converge, the entire vineyard area comprises 46 hectares in a natural amphitheatre, lying on the edge of a large pond. Vines are planted in a subsoil of sand and clay (molasses du Fronsadais), rich in iron.
