Description

The grapes are selected from the vineyards of Sicelle, Sicellino and Casavecchia, This a very expressive and sunny wine, where the fruity and spicy soul blends perfectly with an ever present but gentle tannin. Crisp and excellent persistence, a modern and elegant Chianti Classico.

Delivery Information

Maceration on the skins for 20 days, spontaneous fermentation in concrete and steel. Aging takes place in in oak barrels for one year.

The agronomist Gabriele Buondonno, Neapolitan by birth, arrived in the Chianti Classico in 1988, when together with his wife Valeria, who also graduated in agriculture, he purchased the Casavecchia alla Piazza farm in Castellina in Chianti.

Today, as then, the approach has always been organic in the field, in an era of the 90s where technology reigned supreme in Chianti. Even on the cellar side, Gabriele has always opted for an ancient method, simple but applied with great precision and meticulousness.

A peasant producer, who spends a lot of time in the vineyard observing the vines and working the land, limiting interventions to the essentials, slowly and precisely.
