A truly great Hors d'Age complex in taste, round and very long in the mouth this is a traditional Calvados that will impress, orchard fresh, yet aged smooth and rounded. You can still make a gentle `Trou Normand` with this, or savour after dinner from ballon.

Astrid Hubert only makes single vintage Calvados which is of sublime quality. She uses 15 varieties of apples, together with 5% of pears, and never sprays her crop. The cider is left in foudres for 1 year before distillation, the Calvados then being matured in long old oak barrels. Complex in taste, round and very long on the finish.

Nestling deep in the lush fertile county of the Pay d'Auge ‘les Vergers de la Moriniere’ is the idyllic location for Calvados production. Michel Hubert is admired throughout the Calvados producing community for making excellent farm produced Calvados. The knowledge and expertise has been passed down through five generations. A few pears from the 200 year old tree next to the cellar in his cider helps ensure its quality

Calvados Christmas treat

The Astrid Hubert calvados is delicious, one of the best I have had. Mellow and complex with light caramel undertones and crisp apple. Love it!
