A wonderfully vibrant Semillon with aromas of lemon sherbet, jasmine and grapefruit, alongside a subtle stony minerality. Bright citrus fruit meets a savoury, textured palate, with lively acidity and a fresh, lingering finish. Beautifully balanced, with more depth than its zesty character might initially suggest.

Sourced from Vine Vale in the Barossa Valley following frost damage to Alkina’s own Semillon vineyards. Hand-harvested fruit was predominantly fermented in stainless steel, with separate portions fermented on solids and skins to build texture and complexity. Gentle lees stirring, partial malolactic fermentation and ageing in stainless steel and old oak bring additional weight while preserving the wine’s natural freshness.

Founded in 2015 in Greenock, in South Australia’s Barossa Valley, Alkina is an exciting estate combining historic vineyards with a fresh, terroir-driven approach to winemaking. Certified organic and biodynamic, the estate is home to old-vine Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro and Semillon, with some plantings dating back to the 1950s. Working alongside renowned Chilean terroir specialist Pedro Parra, Alkina has undertaken an extraordinary study of its soils and geology, identifying individual vineyard parcels with distinctive characteristics. With winemaker Amelia Nolan at the helm, the result is a collection of beautifully expressive wines that favour freshness, elegance and a genuine sense of place over the traditionally powerful Barossa style.

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom with no minimum order requirement. For Mainland UK deliveries, the following charges apply:

  • £15 for orders below £75
  • £9.99 for orders below £125
  • Free delivery on orders over £125

We also offer the option to collect from any of our shops at no extra cost. All Mainland UK orders should be delivered within 2-4 working days.
