The Hazendal Syrah 2025 is a vivid, estate-grown South African red wine from the prestigious Bottelary Hills sub-region of Stellenbosch. Crafted entirely from 100% Syrah, the grapes thrive on unique, elevated slopes where cooling maritime breezes from False Bay and the Atlantic Ocean cultivate deep flavour concentration and refreshing natural acidity.
Bright, youthful crimson red in the glass. An expressive, highly perfumed bouquet of mulberries and wild blueberries, layered with elegant notes of jasmine, white pepper, and a smoky, meaty undertone. Energetic and medium-bodied with an approachable, friendly texture. Succulent dark fruit and pomegranate flavours are balanced by firm yet smooth tannins, concluding with a distinctive, bright line of blood-orange freshness.
Serve at 16–18°C. This versatile, pepper-spiced red pairs wonderfully with grilled lamb loin, smoked pork belly, venison sausages, wood-fired mushroom pizza, or slow-cooked Mediterranean beef stews.
