Rosé Wine

Rosé wine is a type of wine made from red grapes, but with a shorter fermentation process where the skins are removed sooner than in red wine production. This gives rosé its characteristic pink or light red colour, which can range from pale salmon to vibrant fuchsia, depending on the grape variety and winemaking technique. Rosé wines can range from dry to sweet, though most are on the drier side. They tend to have bright, fruity flavours like strawberry, raspberry, melon, citrus, and sometimes hints of herbs or floral notes.

The great thing about rosé is that it works across so many different cuisines and types of dishes. It’s like a wine that can transition between seasons as effortlessly as it transitions from a snack to a full meal. It pairs with everything from light summer dishes like grilled fish and salads to heavier foods like roasted meats or charcuterie boards in winter by going for a fuller and more robust style from place such as Bandol in Provence or California.
