A serious, tightly structured Riesling from one of Wagram's most important single vineyards. Eisenhut shows a more restrained, mineral expression of the grape with firm acidity, citrus peel, green apple and stone fruit sitting behind a compact core of flavour. With air, a subtle cooling herbal note emerges, adding lift and detail. This is a wine built on tension rather than immediacy, with real ageing potential.

Ried Eisenhut is one of Weingut Diwald's benchmark vineyards, located on a steep, south-facing slope in Grossriedenthal with iron-rich loess soils. Known for producing structured,long-lived Rieslings, it consistently delivers wines of intensity and precision.

Hand harvested and fermented spontaneously in stainless steel, the wine is aged on lees to build texture and complexity while retaining structural purity.

Weingut Diwald is a family run estate in Wagram, Austria with a long-standing commitment to organic viticulture. The estate was a pioneer in sustainable farming under Hans Diwald, who began farming organically in the 1970s, long befoere it became widespread in the region.

Today his son Martin Diwald continues the work, combining traditional vineyard knowledge with a modern low-intervention approach in the cellar. The focus remains firmly on expressing site, soil and vintage rather than winemaking influence.

The result is a range of wines that are precise, honest and deeply rooted in the loess soils of Wagram.
