A fresh red blend from Umbria, Italy with notes of red fruits and spice, including star anise and ginger. This wine is majority Sangiovese grown on west-facing, high altitude vines before being aged in steel vats on its fine lees, producing notes of pomegranate and silky tannins. A red wine to enjoy with pasta, risotto, or white meat.

Vinified in temperature controlled steel vats, macerated for 10-18 days depending on the grape. Aged in steel vats on its fine lees for 18 months with batonnage, then aged in bottle for at least 4 months.

Located in the heart of Umbria, the Le Thadee estate is named for a young 16th century princess, Thadea. The illegitmate daughter of Emperor Charles V, she lives in Montefalco where the vines can be found.
