Aromatic profile and freshness, a signature of the 2023 vintage in Saint-Émilion. As a second wine of the estate, it offers an approachable yet sophisticated profile. A forward and inviting nose featuring violets, red currant, and black cherry. You'll also find warm notes of liquorice, toasty oak, and a hint of mint. The palate has a cranberry and cherry crunch with perfectly weighted, refreshing tannins.

Grapes are 100% hand-harvested in small baskets. They undergo a rigorous "double-sorting" process—first as whole bunches and then as individual berries—to ensure only perfect fruit enters the tanks.

Before fermentation, the fruit undergoes a cold maceration (7–8°C) for 5 to 7 days. This step is critical for extracting intense fruit aromas and deep colour without harsh tannins.

For the 2023 vintage, they employed low-temperature fermentation (approx. 25°C) to maintain "brilliance and creaminess". They use gentle pumping-over rather than aggressive extraction techniques to keep the tannins supple.

 The wine is typically matured for 12 months in French oak barrels. For La Devine, they use a lower percentage of new oak (around 10%) compared to the Grand Vin, preferring 2nd and 3rd-year barrels to ensure the wood does not overpower the fresh fruit
