Description

A beautiful Mid Straw in colour the nose is sublime pears & white peaches, smoky oak, cashew and super complex. A palate of apple & pears with hints of brioche, on a tight textured palate.

Delivery Information

The fruit is crushed as soon as it arrives at the winery and the juice drained off immediatley to tanke (75%) and French oak puncheions (25%). Fermented by indigenous yeast strains to dryness, and matured sur lie with weekly batonnage
for 6 months. The wine was filtered and bottled in July 2022.

First Drop was born in 2004. Conceived by two friends, Matt ‘Gantos’ Gant and John ‘JR’ Retsas, with a desire to make wines to drink, not just appreciate. Based at the ‘Home of the Brave’ in the Barossa, First Drop is making wines with flavour, texture and a splash of funk; from fruit sourced from unique vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Eden Valley and Barossa to bring you a diverse, deliciously exciting and thought provoking line up of flavours. Seriously fun!
