A wonderfully gastronomic Chardonnay with bright straw and green highlights in the glass. On the nose aromas of citrus, white flowers, aromatic herbs and subtle balsamic notes follow to a crisp, yet silky palate with saline minerality and a long savoury finish. "Marajan" pairs beautifully with seafood and shellfish but is equally at home with charcuterie and mild cheeses.

Marajan comes from Chardonnay grown in the hills of Loazzolo in Piedmont at 580m above sea level with a north-westerly exposure, helping preserve freshness and aromatic detail. Fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to retain purity and precision, before spending seven months on lees to build texture and complexity. Borgo Maragliano then ages the wine for around two years in bottle before release, allowing the Chardonnay to develop harmony and depth.

Borgo Maragliano is a family-run estate in the hills of Loazzolo, in Piedmont's Alta Langa, where the Galliano family have been growing vines since the mid-1800s. Today the estate focuses on high-altitude Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Moscato, producing elegant traditional method sparkling alongside aromatic whites. Their vineyards sit on steep, sandy and calcareous slopes influenced by the cool "Marin" breeze from the Ligurian coast, helping create wines with freshness, finesse and a distinctive mineral character.
