From high altitude vineyards (1200m above sea level) in Los Chacayes, this Chardonnay shows the fresher, more elegant side of Argentine winemaking. The combination of cool mountain nights and bright sunshine helps preserve acidity while building flavour. 

In the glass it has a hint of green with aromas leaning towards citrus and stone fruit, think lemon zest and ripe pear, layered with subtle oak. The palate is smooth and rounded, yet still fresh with a clean, mineral edge that reflects its mountain origins.

A great all-rounder at the table, it works well with grilled chicken, seafood and creamy pasta dishes as well as soft cheeses.

Harvested in two stages to balance freshness and ripeness, part of the wine is fermented in stainless steel for lift and precision, while a portion sees time in French oak barrels for added texture. It then rests on its lees for extra depth before bottling.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Andes in Argentina's Uco Valley, Bodega Urqo is a modern, thoughtful project rooted in nature and sustainability. The Urquia family farm 300 hectares of high altitude vineyards around Tupungato and Los Chacayes, where intense sunlight, sandy soils and cool mountain air help shape wines with purity and freshness.

The winery itself is deliberately minimalist, designed to let the fruit speak clearly. Under the guidance of winemaker Leo Pisano the focus is on expressive, mineral driven wines that reflect their rugged surroundings. Sustainability sits at the heart of everything they do, with certified practices in both vineyard and winery and a strong commitment to environmental care.

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom with no minimum order requirement. For Mainland UK deliveries, the following charges apply:

  • £9.99 for orders below £125
  • Free delivery on orders over £125

We also offer the option to collect from any of our shops at no extra cost. All Mainland UK orders should be delivered within 1-3 working days.
